Store Incharge Job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory management: Monitor and manage stock levels for all electrical materials, tools, and equipment required for the RDSS project.
2. Ensure proper stock records are maintained using manual logs or inventory management software.
3. Conduct daily and periodic stock counts to verify inventory accuracy.
4. Material receiving & inspection:
a. Receive all materials and equipment delivered to the site.
b. Inspect the quality and quantity of materials upon arrival and ensure they meet the project specifications.
c. Log any discrepancies and coordinate with suppliers for replacements or additional shipments.

5. Storage & organization:
a. Ensure proper storage of all materials in a safe, organized, and secure manner
b. Label and categorize items to facilitate easy identification and retrieval.
c. Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to avoid the use of outdated or expired materials.

6. Issuance of materials:
a. Issue materials to supervisors, site engineers, or contractors as per project requirements.
b. Maintain accurate records of materials issued, ensuring transparency and accountability.
c. Replenish stock levels as needed to prevent any shortage of critical materials.

7. Safety & compliance:
a. Ensure that the store follows all safety regulations, particularly for hazardous materials (if any).
b. Implement proper storage techniques for electrical equipment and tools to prevent accidents.
