A delivery courier's job is to transport items from one location to another, intercity location will be defined ensuring they arrive on time and in good condition.
Key responsibilities:
1. Maintaining the company vehicle: Keep the company vehicle clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil, and is ready to drive.
2. Picking up and delivering packages: Collect items from the sender and deliver them to the recipient.
3. Handling high-value or confidential items: Take responsibility for items of high value or that are confidential.
4. Accepting payments: Collect payment for the items delivered.
5. Providing customer service: Answer questions and provide customer service to people who use the courier service.
6. Following a schedule: Follow a schedule and identify the most efficient routes to avoid delays.
7. Driving safely: Drive vehicles safely and courteously, observing traffic rules.
8. Maintaining records: Keep accurate records of deliveries and customer authorization.
9. Communicating with management: Communicate with management to be informed of any change of delivery, route, or schedule.
1. High school diploma or certificate.
2. At least 18 years of age completed.
3. Valid driver's license.
4. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
5. Safe driving skills and ability to multitask.
6. Strong customer service skills.
