The service centre advisor acts as a key liaison between customers and the service department. They ensure that customers' vehicles are serviced efficiently and according to their requirements. The role requires balancing technical knowledge, customer service, and sales skills to enhance the overall customer experience at the service centre.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer service & support:
a. Greet customers as they arrive at the service centre.
b. Listen to and understand customers' concerns and vehicle problems.
c. Explain services and repairs in a clear and understandable manner.
2. Service coordination:
a. Schedule vehicle service appointments and manage service records.
b. Coordinate with service technicians to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and as per customer expectations.
3. Sales & upselling:
a. Identify opportunities for additional services or repairs and explain benefits to customers.
4. Administrative tasks:
a. Prepare service orders and track the progress of jobs.
b. Maintain customer databases, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information.
c. Handle invoicing, payments, and warranty claims.
5. Collaboration:
a. Work closely with the sales team to understand and communicate special offers or promotions on servicing and repairs.
b. Liaise with spare parts departments to ensure availability of necessary parts for repairs.
c. Collaborate with service technicians and other advisors to ensure smooth service operations.

2. Education: Diploma/Degree in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
3. Experience: Minimum 0-3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the automotive industry.
4. Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair; understanding of automotive systems and diagnostics is a plus.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Sales-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
