We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development Manager with a minimum of seven years of proven success in driving business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth and expand market presence within the event industry. Identify emerging market trends, industry challenges, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and maximize opportunities for revenue generation.
2. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, networking, and relationship building with potential clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Utilize a combination of inbound and outbound sales tactics, including cold calling, email outreach, social selling, and attending industry events and conferences.
3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, event organizers, agencies, and corporate partners, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and pain points, and develop customized solutions to address their needs and drive value.
4. Contract Negotiation and Closing: Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and terms agreement with clients to secure new business opportunities and drive revenue growth. Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to contract signing, ensuring smooth transitions and handoffs to project teams for successful execution.
5. Sales Performance and Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and competitive insights to inform strategic planning and decision-making.

Other requirements
Minimum of seven years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the event industry, with a track record of exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
- Extensive network of contacts and relationships within the event industry, including event organizers, corporate clients, agencies, and industry influencers.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities, assess market dynamics, and develop actionable plans to achieve sales objectives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions in a clear, compelling manner.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts, close deals, and manage complex sales cycles effectively.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving outcomes, exceeding expectations, and delivering exceptional client experiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
