Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address hazardous conditions and equipment

Role & responsibilities

Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification: Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify potential hazards. Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Training & Education: Conduct safety training sessions and workshops for employees, contractors, and management to promote a culture of safety awareness.
Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses. Prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all safety activities comply with local, state, and national regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards.
Emergency Preparedness: Develop and oversee emergency response plans, including drills and simulations, to ensure readiness in case of an incident.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training activities, and safety performance metrics.
