Software Tester Job (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning and Documentation:
Develop, document, and execute test plans and test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
Create comprehensive test scenarios for both manual and automated testing.
Work closely with the development team to test and validate the unique challenges posed by AI-driven and motion-based applications, ensuring accuracy and reliability in real-world scenarios.

2. Testing and Defect Management:
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile platforms.
Identify, document, and track bugs through issue-tracking software.
Communicate defects and work with development teams for resolution and verification.

3. Automation:
Collaborate with the Product Validation automation team to create or update automated test scripts.
Maintain automated test scripts and conduct regular test automation reviews.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand product features and ensure the software meets user requirements.
Provide regular updates to the Product Validation lead or project manager on testing progress, risks, and issues.

4. Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to Product Validation process improvements by recommending best practices and suggesting tools for better test management and efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in software testing.

Technical Skills:
1. Proficiency in testing software applications across various platforms (web, mobile)and ensuring responsiveness across different devices.
2. Knowledge of defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
3. Basic understanding of programming languages like JavaScript or Python (or similar programming languages) to collaborate effectively with developers and assist with test script development.
4. Experience in testing RESTful and GraphQL APIs using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured to ensure seamless communication between the client and server.
5. Expertise in performance testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or k6 to simulate high user load and ensure application scalability and reliability.
6. Understanding of cloud security testing and ensuring data privacy and compliance standards are met.
7. Familiarity with common web security standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and how to test for potential exploits.
