Junior Video Editor Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Edit video content including commercials, promotional videos, social media content, and instructional videos
2. Assemble raw footage and footage provided by the creative team into a finished product that aligns with the vision and objectives of each project
3. Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video
4. Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance video presentation
5. Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of videos
6. Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop new video concepts and ideas
7. Review and amend video edits based on feedback from stakeholders
8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video editing and production techniques

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Junior Video Editor or similar role (portfolio/reel required)
2. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
3. Familiarity with audio editing and color correction techniques
4. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
5. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
7. Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Degree in Film Studies, Video Production, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
2. Experience with motion graphics and animation is a plus
3. Knowledge of video formats and compression standards for web and social media platforms
4. Understanding of copyright and licensing requirements for video content
