1. Server-Side Development: Develop and maintain server-side components using Node.js and related technologies to ensure the robustness, scalability, and high performance of our applications.
2. API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs to support seamless communication between frontend and backend systems, enabling smooth data flow and user experiences.
3. Database Management: Create and optimize database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and implement database migrations to ensure data integrity and performance.
4. Security: Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
5. Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, and actively participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices.
6. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimize server performance, and implement caching strategies to ensure fast response times.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with frontend developers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
8. Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions promptly.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate product requirements for operational feasibility and create detailed specifications & tech designs based on user stories.
2. Contribute to design/code reviews for quality assurance.
3. Hands-on participation in development and bug fixing.
4. Monitor and report technical execution progress as well as all technical issues, risks, or mitigation plans in a timely manner.
5. Taking up critical POCs and feasibility studies.
6. Drive technical innovations in the product constantly to remain ahead of the curve
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a backend developer with expertise in Node.js.
2. Strong understanding of server-side frameworks and tools.
3. Experience with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
4. Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
5. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
6. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
