Experienced Video Editor for Kumbh Mela 2025 with the Mohanji Foundation
The Mohanji Foundation is looking for dedicated, skilled video editors to join our media team as volunteers at the Maha-Kumbh Mela 2025, creating inspiring content from the world's largest spiritual gathering. This once-in-a lifetime opportunity offers a unique, immersive experience, ideal for those passionate about meaningful media and spiritual storytelling.
Position Details:
Minimum Commitment: 2 weeks
Location: Kumbh Mela, India
Accommodation & Meals: Provided in a communal setting (travel expenses not covered)
Work Setup: Work from personal laptop with Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (Final Cut Pro experience is welcome, Premiere and DaVinci skills are preferred)
Required Expertise:
1. Editing Workflow Proficiency: Skilled in managing editing workflows, footage transfer, and archiving
2. Camera & Equipment Familiarity: Experience with Sony a7 series, FX3 cameras, drones, and NAS storage
3. Visual Branding & Templates: Ability to develop video templates, intros, and visual branding specifically for social media
4. Range of Editing Abilities: Able to edit various types of content (e.g., teasers, daily recaps, event highlights) under tight timelines
5. Mentorship Skills: Capable of guiding junior editors in creating Reels/Shorts and YT videos
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Pre-Event Preparation: Planning workflows, video templates, and establishing visual identity
2. Daily Editing: Producing "Kumbh Mela News" recaps (up to 7 minutes daily)
3. Event Highlights Production: Creating special segments (e.g., Shahi Snan rituals, Mohanji's birthday)
4. Mentoring: Supporting junior editors in creating short-form content

1. Event Experience: Familiarity with high-paced event environments
