We are looking for highly motivated interns who are passionate about teaching and imparting quality education to children from marginalized communities.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Prepare and design innovative lesson plans and teaching aids on time
2. Monitor and assess the progress of children by correcting books and assignments regularly
3. Maintain and foster close links with co-curricular teachers and coordinate with the social worker and counselor for the children's requirements
4. Actively participate in parents' meetings and provide constructive feedback on the progress of the child to the parents
5. Complete and manage administrative responsibilities assigned on time
6. Give equal attention and support to children of different abilities in the class
7. Be attentive and observant of the children's needs to provide proper guidance
8. Motivate and enthuse the children to participate and engage in learning
9. Communicate and interact with children in a respectful and positive manner
10. Be flexible, open to change, and willing to take on additional responsibilities
Only those candidates can apply who:
1. are available for full time (in-office) internship
2. can start the internship between 13th Nov'24 and 18th Dec'24
3. are available for duration of 6 months
4. have relevant skills and interests

1. Graduates in any field with good command over the English language
2. Graduates with ECCE, D.Ed, or B.Ed
3. Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
4. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
5. Well-versed with recent technologies and applications for teaching

Aseema Charitable Trust is a Mumbai-based non-governmental organization with a mission to equip children from marginalized communities with high-quality, value-based education enabling the development of their limitless potential. It works in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and is currently running three MCGM schools- The Pali Chimbai Municipal School in Bandra (West), The Pereirawadi Municipal School in Bandra (West) and The Kherwadi Municipal School in Bandra (East). In Igatpuri, Aseema works with very poor tribal children who live in remote tribal villages to provide them with quality education. Today we reach out to more than 2300 students and besides the finest quality of education, we provide them with nutritious meals and also attend to their physical and mental well-being. Co-curricular activities like sports, art, music, dance, judo, and yoga are carried out in all our schools so that the children receive a well-rounded and holistic education.
