About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Assisting in developing and refining OR models and algorithms to optimize public transport routes and schedules
2. Working with OR tools like OptaPlanner/Timefold to solve complex transport planning problems
3. Analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in public transport systems
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including transport planners and software developers, to implement solutions
5. Preparing detailed reports and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations

Other requirements

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
